Your Mentors
Hallo! I am Faiz Shaikh. Why not Dr. Faiz Shaikh? Well that’s the next step I am working on. Although I am a Neurosurgery resident in NRW to get a Dr. Titel in Germany one needs to do a Dessertation/Research also known as Doktorarbeit, as one does not directly earn the Dr. title after MBBS. So here’s a little more about me and my roller coaster journey to Deutschland.
I did my MBBS and Internship in Maharashtra. Then decided to pursue PG in Germany after hearing all the perks and the fact that Surgical residency is easier to get there. Everything went smoothly while learning the language but when I applied to institutes in Germany for further course and Visa everything went downhill. It was all so disorganized and haywire. I expected better from Germany. So taking up the challenge to figure out the way on my own without taking help from costly consultants me and Nigel spent almost a year figuring out our way. We finally applied for Visa only to be rejected because a new rule came up, a new Document called Defizitbescheid was required. After spending one and a half year trying to figure it out, I gave up. Paid the consultant huge amount of money and got it all sorted. It was only when I reached Germany that I realized what part of the puzzle was missing. So Nigel and Rutuja put my new found knowledge to a test and Voila, It all worked out. Worked out for THREE TIMES LESS MONEY compared to what I paid. Obviously there were new complications but nothing costing money or a lot of time. So to sum it up, its all doable on your own if you know what to do. And trust me its a struggle but definitely WORTH IT.
And so began my journey to guiding people to get here so that they do not have to pay hefty fees like I did. Interested? Contact us for more, our aim is to guide you where you need guidance, rest you can do it on your own.

Hi, I am Nigel Vaz. I am doing my Post Graduation in Urology in NRW, Germany. I’ll be one of your mentors , if you decide to come on this journey with us. Here’s a little more about me. And hopefully this doesen’t seem too self indulgent.
I did my MBBS in the Russian Federation, came back to India , wrote the FMGE, did my internship in BMC, Bangalore, and then worked for a few years with some leading urologists in Mumbai. It was in late 2016 when i decided to make the move in order to do my postgraduation in Germany. So i started learning German. I cleared my C1 Exam in July 2017 and i was over the moon. All i needed was a visa and Mama Merkel would be waiting for with open hands, Right? Wrong! Welcome to the German bureaucratic redtape. After wasting money on some agency/consultants, failed visa applications and a lot of waiting, i finally came to Germany in the summer of 2019 by applying on my own. 10 months down the line, i managed to clear the FSP and KP and get Approbation.
With our programme i hope to help you to overcome any hurdles that you are going to face on this journey and preferably, avoid them . So don’t be shy. Get in touch.
Cheers,
Nigel.
Hi, I’m Rutuja Kulkarni, one of your mentors. I’m currently in Germany. I’m done with Kenntnisprüfung ( Licensing exam) and started with my residency in Dermatology in Cologne.
So I did my MBBS in Maharashtra, Internship in Mumbai and later worked for a year in Dermatology. Honestly, because of the help from my partners (the other mentors) my process to come here was not that bad, though yes the visa took hell lot of time for me but at the end after coming here it was all worth it. 🙂 3 months after arriving in Germany I cleared my FSP, following that I did Hospitation in Dermatology which I would say I definitely got due to my experience in India. So guys experience really matters!!After that I did a second Hospitation again in Dermatology in the Central Hospital (Uniklinikum Köln).
Guys, honestly I feel blessed to have people who could guide me through the things like finding accommodation, dealing with the legalities here and applications and basically everything. But during all this I learned and got to know the system pretty well and since I have recently moved in here I’m well aware of the current updates and changes!
So feel free to shoot your queries and get in the loop to know more.
